Two Cape Cod residents were arrested on drug charges Sunday.

According to officials with the Barnstable Police Department, a three-month-long investigation culminated with the arrests of 67 year-old Robert Sellew and 30 year-old Crystal Polydores. Police received a tip that Sellew would be bringing cocaine to Cape Cod on May 1.

Police began surveillance of Sellew at the Sagamore Bridge. Officers followed Sellew’s white Chevy Lumina from the bridge until it reached Main Street in Cotuit and then conducted a motor vehicle stop shortly after 7:00 p.m.

Police found three baggies of crack cocaine, worth about $500, hidden in a fishing rod that Sellew said belonged to him. Officers also discovered a small baggie of cocaine on Polydores. Sewell also had $600 cash in his possession, according to Barnstable Police Detective Lieutenant Balcom.
