A man posing as a painter was arrested in Cape Cod Friday on theft charges.

According to officials with the Cape Cod Police Department, 23 year-old Justin Bruso, of Southbridge, was hired by a North Falmouth woman to paint the interior of her summer home. Police say the 45 year-old woman caught Bruso stealing flat-screen televisions, DVD players, and stereo equipment.

According to the arrest report, Bruso admitted to the thefts upon questioning. He then led the police to a home on North Falmouth Highway where 19 year-old Emily Hudon was allegedly storing some of the stolen items.

Bruso was charged with nine counts of larceny from a building. Hudon was arrested and charged with two counts of receiving stolen property valued more than $250, three counts of receiving stolen property valued less than $250, and being an accessory after the fact.
