Members of Alleged Cape Cod Drug Ring Arrested

Authorities cracked down on an illegal oxycodone drug distribution rink last week in Hyannis.

According to officials with the Barstable Police Department, detective have been gathering information on a drug trafficking organization operating between California and Hyannis since March. The organization is allegedly responsible for distributing thousands of oxycodone pills throughout Cape Cod.

Last week, detectives learned that members of the organization had traveled from California to Hyannis with thousands of tablets destined for Nantucket. According to police documents, detectives conducted surveillance at a local motel and observed members of the organization leaving for the Barnstable Airport. Detectives were able to seize 115 oxycodone pills.
