A 34-year-old man has been charged with statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl who he met online.

The man is charged with 10 counts of statutory rape and five counts soliciting a child by computer. He remained in a detention center on $250,000 bond. The two met in September on a social networking site and began talking. The man made at least five trips to visit the girl and inappropriate relations occurred.

The girl’s mother alerted authorities after he saw him dropping her off one morning.
