What is Consent?

Consent is typically recognized as the approval or license given by one individual to another for physical contact, sexual contact, approval for certain actions, or assent to certain decisions. Consent is usually separated into two categories: express and implied, but when it comes to criminal cases, defenses are usually stronger if they can prove that the individual was given express rather than implied consent.
