The discovery of a huge collection of child pornography in Massachusetts last month led investigators to a sex offender in Amsterdam.

Accoridng to authorities in the Netherlands, 27 year-old Roberts Mikelsons was arrested after confessing to sexually abusing dozens of children while working at nurseries. Investigators were led to Mikelsons after Massachusetts State Police arrested a 46 year-old man from Milford on child pornography charges.

After receiving a tip from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Office of Homeland Security Investigations, investigators found some 10,000 images and videos of young children engaged in sexual acts on the man’s computer hard drive. Investigators determined that the photos and videos were not made in the United States. Authorities shared an edited image on Interpol’s secure system which led investigators to Mikelsons.
