A two-car accident in Uxbridge earlier this week was caused by a 40 year-old man who later admitted he was drunk and texting when the crash occurred. His vehicle hit the driver’s side of another car after he drifted across the street’s solid yellow lines that separates oncoming traffic.

The female driver of the other car was treated for minor head injuries. She complained that her head hurt after she was hit by her car’s broken side mirror that came through her open window.

Authorities soon found the man’s car. Breath tests show his blood alcohol level at 0.21, over the legal limit of 0.08. He has been charged with texting while driving, drunk driving, reckless driving, failing to stay in the right lane, and leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury.
