Sentencing for a Massachusetts felon who is facing 45 years in prison for the sexual assault of a woman in 1988.

The man was convicted last year of first-degree sexual assault and first-degree kidnapping. The victim was a 20-year-old woman who let the man inside her house after he claimed he had car trouble. The man then put a knife sharpener to her neck and sexually assaulted her. The case left police stumped until 2005 when the police matched the man’s DNA to the case.

Man Pleads Guilty in Sexual Crime Case

A 33-year-old man plead guilty of a fourth-degree sexual assault. He faces three year probationary sentence.

The victim alleges that the man subjected her to sexual contact without her consent. The female victim declined to testifying. The man’s charges were brought down from a first-degree sexual assault to the fourth-degree after the victim didn’t want to testify.

Man Charged with Statutory Rape

A 34-year-old man has been charged with statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl who he met online.

The man is charged with 10 counts of statutory rape and five counts soliciting a child by computer. He remained in a detention center on $250,000 bond. The two met in September on a social networking site and began talking. The man made at least five trips to visit the girl and inappropriate relations occurred.

The girl’s mother alerted authorities after he saw him dropping her off one morning.

N.H. Man Accused in Child Pornography Case

A new Hampshire man pleaded innocent to charges of child pornography on Jan. 5.

He was charged with the felony of possessing child pornography, which can carry a fine up to $10,000 and a maximum of five years in prison. The police were informed about this situation by the man’s former girlfriend. She told them that her ex boyfriend had been previously viewing child pornography in her home last fall. After pleading innocent, the man is not allowed access to the internet except in public places.

Man Accused Of Soliciting Underage Girl

A former church deacon and middle school teacher has been accused of trying to solicit an underage girl over the internet.

The Rhode Island State Police have charged the man with 54 counts of transmission of child pornography and indecent solicitation of a minor.The man had recently completed five years of probation and served two years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted statutory rape and child pornography over the internet.
